María Mardones Flores
History and Geography teacher from University of Concepcion, D.E.A. in Integrated Rural Studies from Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail, Toulouse II, France and PhD in Geography from Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail, Toulouse II, France.
Her areas of interest are: Geomorphology applied to Territorial Order, Integrated Analysis of Natural Systems, Glacial Geormorpholoy.
She was a full time Professor at the University of Concepcion for 38 years (1973-2011), 29 years at the Department of Earth Sciences of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences. After retirement, from 2011-2013, she was a part time professor at the EULA Center. Currently, she is a collaborative professor at the Doctorate Program in Environmental Sciences, mention in Continental Aquatic Systems, of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at the University of Concepcion and at the Doctorate Program in Geography of the P. Universidad Católica de Chile.
