Participant’s categories, registration fees and related information
– There are 5 participant’s categories, each one has a different registration fee:
Professionals and academics who are not active members of the Chilean Geological Society, the Chilean School of Geologists or the Geological Association of Argentina.
Active members of the Chilean Geological Society, the Chilean School of Geologists and the Geological Association of Argentina whose membership fees have been cancelled at the time of registration, in accordance with the information received from the corresponding institution.
Student from a Master of Science or Doctorate Program who submit a valid certificate at the time of registration (document to be inspected by the Committee) and who is the first author of a submitted abstract.
Student from an undergraduate program in Geology or Geophysics who submit a valid certificate at the time of registration (document to be inspected by the Committee). Undergraduate students may participate in the Congress: (A) by submitting an abstract as first author (B) as a participant without submitting an abstract. In the latter case, the name and identification number of the student must be included in the list that was validated and submitted by the corresponding Head of Studies to the Organizing Committee
Allows participation only in social activities.
– Registration fee includes attendance to all academic events, welcome reception, coffee breaks, and beer during poster sessions, Congress kit and electronic certificate. Attendance to the opening and closing ceremonies are also included. The costs for pre-Congress courses and post-Congress field trips are not included.
– The figures indicated in the tables below are expressed in Chilean pesos (CLP). It is possible to pay for your registration fee from outside Chile in CLP using your credit card. The online payment platform will automatically make the currency conversion. Only written annulments requests will be considered by the Organizing Committee. . The reimbursement will be the amount of the registration fee minus 15%. The deadline for written annulments requests is August 17, 2018. After this date the annulment cost will be 50% of the registration fee.
There will be no annulments or reimbursements after October 18, 2018.
– The registration process spans over three periods of time with different fees, as follows:
I. EARLY REGISTRATION UNTIL JUNE 1, 2018
II. FIRST LATE REGISTRATION: FROM JUNE 2, 2018 UNTIL SEPTEMBER 18, 2018
