AT5-5: Environmental geochemistry: Geogenic, anthropogenic pollution and climate change: a latent or concrete threat to society?
Conveners: Ana Valdés, Comisión Chilena de Energía Nuclear. Katja Deckart, Universidad de Chile. ana.valdes@cchen.cl
Description: Environmental Geochemistry is related to those studies that, through the application of Geochemistry, plus the development of new methodologies and analytical techniques, make it possible to discriminate between natural and/or anthropogenic contaminants of sediments, soils, air (particulate matter) and water, transport and dispersal mechanisms, and potential impact on the environment and population health.
The scope of the works that you wish to present includes, from descriptive and diagnostic studies of any of the aforementioned matrices to remediation studies.
