Natalia Astudillo
Geologist, PhD in Sciences, mention in Geology from the University of Chile and Docteur en Sciences de la Terre et des Planètes from the Université Paul Sabatier III, Toulouse. With diplomas in Educational Inclusion and Inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Asperger’s from Universidad del Desarrollo and Universidad Finis Terrae. Postgraduate degree in Science Communication from the University of Chile.
With more than 19 years of professional and academic experience, she is a Regional Geologist at SERNAGEOMIN. During her career she has specialized in the generation of geological maps of northern Chile, in important areas of mining exploration. She is currently conducting her research in the Maule Region, in areas with intense vegetation cover development. Director and Treasurer of the Geological Society of Chile (2021-2023).
One of her main areas of interest is the use of geology as a tool for the integration of people with disabilities (PwD) and the implementation of activities for the democratization of geological information aimed at diversity.
